SOX-90W Low Pressure Sodium Lamp

Ordered a 90W kit - includes lamp, ballast and socket. Ballast is easy to wire up. Designed for use on 120 volts, 60 Hz. Everything arrived intact and as someone who has a collection of rare and/or discontinued incandescent, HID and fluorescent lamps, I couldn't be happier with the SOX lamp. These lamps were a bit expensive, but these lamps are brand new and not second hand, so that's to be expected considering this is the only company in the world - to the best of my knowledge - that makes these lamps after Philips discontinued production in 2020. After all, except for in Europe where they were widely used for highway lighting for many decades, SOX lamps had very limited acceptance due to their monochromatic yellow light, where everything appears as a yellow-orange version of black and white. These are the only lamps suitable for the black fire illusion. I would have definitely purchased a few spare lamps to ensure I have enough to last me the rest of my life or in case it's accidentally dropped and broken, were it not for the premium price.

To sum it up, I highly recommend ordering from Glow Object for anyone who needs replacement SOX lamps. They seem high quality, only time will tell if these are as good of quality and last as long as the now discontinued ones from GE, Sylvania and Philips.

Love the light and the ballast is easy to set up, but would still be helpful if the ballast came with instructions. The video included on the website is okay, but is not very professional and not super clear on details.

This is a very effective Lightsource for the wattage that it requires! I highly recommend this if you are looking for a bright but cheap lamp that isn't an LED (This requires a 90W ballast to function but you can buy it on this site).
